Skin Concern >>Rosacea/ Redness

Rosacea is a common skin condition associated with facial redness and flushing. Although most often seen in people with a fair complexion, it can also occur in people with darker skin. Rosacea can begin as a tendency to flush or blush, and eventually progress to persistent redness in the center of the face.  Over time, the condition becomes progressive, and visible blood vessels and pimples appear. Topical and oral medications can slow the progression of the disease. However, once persistent redness and blood vessels appear, laser and pulsed-light (photofacial) treatments are the most effective.
