DAXXIFY® (daxibotulinumtoxinA-lanm) is an FDA-approved neuromodulator used to soften moderate to severe frown lines (the “11s” between the eyebrows). Like other wrinkle relaxers, it works at the nerve endings that signal muscles to contract. Those signals are carried by a neurotransmitter called acetylcholine. DAXXIFY® temporarily blocks the release of acetylcholine, which allows targeted facial muscles to relax. As the muscle activity eases, the overlying skin appears smoother and more refreshed.
